Different Sofa by Ditte Maigaard

Ditte Maigaard, German design studio, has created unusual Split Personality Sofa, that looks different from the front and back. It seems to me, this furniture item was inspired by beautiful flower. The sofa should be situated on the middle of the room to impress guests with its difference in colors. Here is description from Ditte Maigaard Studio: ?Split Personality Sofa was created based on two opposite types of personalities. The nature of their differences supplement each other and give the furniture a wide range of applications. The shape and the textile expression has been created in unison, and it is exactly in the meeting of the textile and the shape of the furniture where the Split Personality really comes into character?.

Metamorphosis - Tree Bookshelf by Sebastian Errazuriz

Many things can become the source of inspiration for the designers. Some of them are inspired by the beauty of the surrounding nature; others had warm and pleasant memories from their childhood. Chilean born, New York-based designer and artist Sebastian Errazuriz remembered the thick ivy that he used as natural shelves for his childhood garden toys creating his unusual bookshelf which got the name “Metamorphosis” in collaboration with woodworkers from the Horm furniture company. The bookshelf is hand carved from Baltic birch plywood and resembles a big tree branch with lots of ramifications. It can be used either for book and magazines storing or for decorating the space. “Metamorphosis” will become the part of “Beautiful Premonitions” exhibition which will take place at the Cristina Grajales gallery in New York at the end of April.

Premiering at Milan design week 2011 Watson table is one of the pieces of furniture from the “Some Recent Experiments” collection which was created by the American designer Paul Loebach. It focuses on the innovative use of form and material. The table got its name after scientist James Watson, known for discovering the helical structure of DNA. Its entwined curved legs give the impression of ease and elegance. Watson Table has a very organic look that is nevertheless refined and sophisticated as well. Inspired by English furniture of the late 1600's, the table is made from a wood and carbon composite and creates a symbolic composition of maximum strength with minimal materials.

In the World of Cocktails: Martini Chair by Zoran Svraka

Innovative ideas are always trendy, they mark out any interior. Designer Zoran Svraka who founded Svrakadesign, an agency for design and consulting, was inspired by the classic shape of the martini glass creating his unique flexible chair. This unusual Martini chair is screwless and glueless, the only components are its plywood seat, back, and base, and binding elastic string held firm by metal locks. The designer combines hard and soft elements together. It may seem that silting on such a chair for a long time is rather uncomfortable, but Martini chair allows comfortable sitting thanks to molded plywood connected with semi hard rubber string, which allows minimal flexibility in both seat and back supported part of chair. Enjoy your favorite drink sitting in the chair inspired by it!

Elegant Spring Pierced Furniture by Esedra

We want to present to you an elegant and cool Spring pierced furniture collection by the Italian company Esedra. It is rather simple yet stylish. The designers used simple sheets of metal. The collection contains armchairs, tables and poufs that are either fretworked and chromed or lacquered, or upholstered in 1 or 2 colours. Each set comes in four versions: upholstered with leather in different colours, perforated with an enticing design or in the steel version for an outside garden or patio. These pieces of furniture look really fresh and creative. I guess, such as this house furnishing can be perfect for contemporary room interior decorating themes.
