White interior and black facades represent a design decision which will always be in fashion. Swedish company pS Arkitektur have represented their version of this kind of design. The house, surrounded by a beautiful forest, is in Nacka, outside Stockholm. According to the task all the rooms had to be placed on the same level; for this purpose the most distant part of the house is based on the pile, whilst another part has a foundation, consisting of a concrete block. The architects have proposed a rational layout to arrange all the internal space in a line, forming a long chain of rooms. The facades are covered with roofing felt. The southern facade of the building adjoins the wooden outdoor terrace, which gradually turns into the natural landscape.

New Zealand designer Jade Doel has provided an opportunity for us to enjoy the starry sky while dining. LightSpace is a disc-shaped pendant light that supports many modes, the source of which are two independent LED lamps. The body is made of American Ash and consists of five segments, soft lighting of which makes the space "more intimate, more exciting and more intriguing." Doel's creation has not only functional aims but also the rational justification. Doel says that such LightSpace can solve the issues surrounding the lack of "perception of dinner as 'family time'", the reasons of which he sees in increasing adoption of open plan interiors.

Giant sleeping bag-pillow Totoro Bed, copied from the main character of the wonderful animated movie My Neighbor Totoro, will be comfortable not only for children but also for adults. We have already reviewed the Fish House by Guz Architects, and now present another project of these talented designers. The houses have much in common and it is difficult to say which one is more beautiful. The Meera House is located on the island of Sentosa adjacent to Singapore and amazes with its magnificence. Looking from above, the house is like a green oasis, because roof and terraces are covered with grass and some trees. But this is not the only outstanding feature of this splendid design. Beautiful view of the water, the incredible staircase and swimming pool separated by glass walls are also impressed by their originality. Bravo to architects who created such a luxury green house.

We want to present to you a very beautiful house with nature around. This rustic cosy house called Kaweah Falls was built in the centre of Three Rivers, California, near the entrance to Sequoia National Park. It is the nook of paradise for those who love nature. River is usually a symbol of passing time and wildness of the nature. Living in this house reconnects man with surrounding natural environment. The dwelling seems to float over the river bank.

The use of natural materials and beautiful nature that surrounds the house - these are the components which allow it to look as spectacular. The amazing structure combines stone, wood and glass. This project was designed by Prentiss Architects and was called North Bay Residence. By the way, another project with similar name North Bay Road Residence was presented in the blog earlier, but they are quite opposite houses. The house is located on San Juan Island in the U.S. near the coast. The plot has a slight slope, which makes the structure of the houses more attractive, and provides more exciting views. Decorated in classic and contemporary style simultaneously, the residence is designed to please everyone.

Architects of Ike Kligerman Barkley have recently completed the work connected with the reconstruction of this large beautiful home, located in Connecticut. The project was called Lookout House. Originally, the building at this place was built in 1979 and home owners wanted to preserve its original structure, but expand the available space and make it more modern and convenient. The old part of the house, situated under cone-shaped roof, has undergone minimal changes, and new cube part was build next to the old. The space between these two parts of the building is connected by a glass corridor. Now the place is more than enough, and owners even have two beautiful pools, inside and outside.
