Domino Wall Clock by Carbon Design Group

Carbon Design Group has completed their work on the prototype of unusual Domino Wall Clock. I'm sure it will be difficult to guess that you see the clock on the pictures below. And it is also not clear at first sight, how we should understand the time. In fact, it's simple. The Clock consists of three large domino bricks placed right next to each other. The first piece tells us the hours, and then the two digits for the minutes. Joe Sullivan, one of designers, says that it’s interesting to play with people’s associations. “We’re taking a well-known object out of its normal context and giving it new capabilities, allowing it to function as something completely different." Domino Clock works due to new type of electronic magnetic coil motor. Strict geometric forms and combination of black and white make this item stylish addition to your interior design.

Pizza Table or the Table Made of Plates

I want to present to you new, really original and unusual designer’s idea for kitchen – a table made of ceramic plates. It solves simultaneously several problems. The first one is lack of space on the dining table. Its design allows everyone to eat from the table. It has very comfortable round shape. And you also needn’t waste your time washing all the dishes after the meal and cleaning the table. You can do it at the same time because each part of the table is detachable. When looking at this extraordinary table you may think of a huge pizza because of the fact that you put all kind of colored food on it. So you can become a creative cook trying different kinds of “pizza” each time.

Unusual Projects: Upside Down Houses

Only the authors of the projects can explain why their buildings are turned upside down. the tiny village of Szymbark adorns one of these upside down houses, by the way, you see it on the main photo. This creative project was completed by a Polish businessman and philanthropist named Daniel Czapiewski in 2007. Typically, his company builds houses in three weeks, but this project took 114 days because the workers were slightly confused by the structural design. Why was it necessary to put the house upside down? Daniel asserts that it is his view on the current state of the world. I can hardly argue with him. But Czapiewski was not the first. Wonderworks Upside Down Building in Florida was opened in 1998. There are also upside down in California, South Korea, café in Japan and so on.

Crossbox House by CG Architects

CG Architects designed this house composed of two container clad laid crosswise in Pont Péan, France. The home is elegantly balanced and maintains a small footprint. The modern residence is clad in a low-maintenance material for a sleek finish, while the inside is simply furnished and bright. The first volume is grey while the other one is of green colour. Near the house you will find one more building made of wood. This combination of colours looks very natural. There is a cozy living area inside the house. The interior is rather bright. Living in this house you will also have a space for planting greens by means of the green roof. The house reminds of the previously reviewed Bright Container House by Jure Kotnic Architect.

Striking Bed by Asli Tunca: Tree May Be Not Only the Material

The Turkish interior designer Asli Tunca decided to add the element of the fairy-tale to the usual bed. The result was her tree bed – very unusual yet very stylish. This bed is for two, it is of normal size and the zest is four trees in the corners of the bed used as the bed poles. Moreover another interesting fact is the colour of these unique trees. They are red. This designer’s solution looks very simple and may be even rustic but yet very stylish. Asli Tunca combined her vision with the ideas of Carl Vecauteren and this made the design of the bed really amazing.
