Northern Lighting Company introduced an updated version of their product Illusion. The lamp was designed by Hareide Design studio and was named Illusion Half. It is very similar to the original version, except for the fact that it is fastened on the wall and it is only one half of a lamp. The item also offers a place for different small things, such as keys, books and others. This new lamp is available in shiny white as well as matte black color. Illusion Half will be publicly presented at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2012 at the Northern Lighting Nordic Plank Bar during this event.

The Company Great things to People (GT2P) has created a new product - Gudpaka Lamp. For its production the wool of Chilean alpacas and plywood were used. The concept is a game of opposites. Besides merging digital and traditional (in its manufacturing process), meets also the global and the local (in its design process), vegetable and animal (in its appearance), smooth shapes and flat faces (in its geometry), northern and southern (in the Chilean materials used). It should be noted that during the production of these lamps the animals did not suffer, in fact, they are bred specifically for cutting because of the long, soft fur.

It’s very romantic to spend evening with a bottle of wine and a soft glow lighting fixture. Italian lighting company In-Es has designed original Luce Liquida lamps – it has managed to put a light in a bottle. A unique material 'nebulite', which gives a very organic, Moon-like textured look, was used for these mat items. One more feature is smart and modern “Touch System”, so you will turn on the light by a simple interaction with the label: there is the option of three different intensity of light, one for every touch. In-Es offers lamps of different shapes, colors and sizes, and it means you can create your own wine collection. For more information visit the site.

This time we want to congratulate you on Christmas and review some of the traditional decorations. One of the most popular decorations in the world is a Christmas wreath. Its shape symbolizes the wheel of life, without beginning or end. It’s also necessary to hang Christmas stocking socks around the home for nice small gifts. The third traditional décor is Christmas potpourri. Use different spices - cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, cocoa and citrus fruits and put all of these "aromatic" ingredients in a glass vase (or dish) and place the composition at the dinner table in the living room, kitchen or bathroom. Can never have enough Holiday illumination! We should take out all the candles and garlands, which can be found in the home to create spectacular lighting.

Do you like dogs? British designer Gavin Coyle has developed an interesting magazines holder called Companion Rack, inspired by the men's best friend. By it's shape it resembles a dog who gives the newspaper to its owner. The item, made of CNC wire, allows for a lightness of form, allowing the colors of the magazines to decorate the body and not overpower the environment of the work. So I think that this rack can decorate an office or your living room. Visit the designer’s site to see more interesting items.
