This project is the transformation of an old grocery warehouse built in the 19th century into a modern two-story residence. Despite the small area (80 square meters), this house is quite spacious thanks to careful planning attention. The plot is sloping and the difference in level is 1.7 meters. This fact was taken as a basis for living room design, which occupies two floors at once. The bookshelf there, stretched along the entire length - from floor to ceiling, will surely attract your attention. The kitchen is located on half level above the living room. The bedroom and bathroom are provided on the top floor. All rooms are decorated in a perfectly white color, and designer furniture and accessories are presented in black tones. The only exception is a ladder, which is blacker than black, but it seems you see a light at the end of the tunnel. The authors of the project were Ian Moore Architects.

Tip Ton is an innovative plastic chair with forward-tilt action. Its name refers to the two types of sitting experiences that characterize the chair – from a normal position, Tip Ton can be tilted a few degrees forward where it then stays in place. The forward-tilt sitting position helps to straighten the spine and improves circulation to the abdominal and back muscles. Tip Ton is made of polypropylene and is manufactured from a single mould without the use of mechanical components. This makes it extremely durable and up to 100% recyclable. Copenhagen-based designer Jonas Loenborg created a series of feminine and elegant pendant lamps. The first one is Pinecone, which is available in two sizes and in different materials. A large pendant lamp comprised of 272 parts and measuring around 65cm in height and 40cm at its widest, while Mini has 152 parts and measures around 40cm in height and 30cm at its widest. I especially like the mirrored acrylic item that creates a magic lighting. It’s easy to guess that Stiletto lamp takes its shape from a revolved high-heeled woman's shoe. Bright Glory lamp was inspired by the beauty of sexy female legs. So you can choose what you like most here.

The Philips Collection was presented at Boutique Design New York. As we can see on pictures below the collection is based on contrasts and includes very different yet interesting items. Carefully hand-finished, each one is unique work of art. Furniture and accessories look even global due to mixture of materials and styles from all over the world. Dining tables made of wood impress with their rough texture of a natural edge while chairs made of recycled seat belts and striking metallic accessories with strong form are true examples of innovative design. Furniture collection «Selfdiscipline» was presented by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc. It’s ascetic with overtones of luxury, and elegant and feminine while keeping an unblinking eye on function and purpose. Unveiled during Milan Furniture Fair in April, this glossy retro style collection comprises a writing desk, a chair, a wardrobe and lighting. The Pompon Lamp features gold strings which one wants to touch. The Homework desk offers very interesting way of storage. Turn your table into a source of curiosity, because everybody wants to know what you are hiding in those mysterious folders. A wardrobe is the usual and convenient way to store documents, useful things and even clothing. The Homework Cabinet resembles a accordion, whose size varies as the filling. The Homework Chair features hi-tech yet retro-look mechanism zooms in and out with the help of a sleek handle, while the brass wheels dance all over the place.

Parisian designer Mattia Bonetti has created a series of glamorous Necklace Tables, which combine the functions of furniture and decorations. It’s easy to guess why the table has such name. In 2005, the collection of this designer, which appeared on the show in David Gill gallery, London, brought "Best Original Design Award" to the artist.
