Artichoke Lamp is Always in Fashion
The Artichoke lamp is an invention of 1958 year and now it is a true design classic. It was designed by Poul Henningsen and manufactured by Louis Poulsen. The PH Artichokes were produced by a number of companies, but not always the desired characteristics were achieved. The modern production technology allows to produce perfect and very beautiful lamps. The leaves are made of laser-cut steel, the stainless steel aircraft cables are used to hold a very heavy weight of the lamp construction. The whole construction, including the shape of the leaves, light and shadows, looks very impressive.

This site in Sungmam, Gyeounggi-do, (Korea) is not suitable for house bulding because of inclined and irregular form of the land. But architects (IROJE KHM Architects) have found a way to build here a wonderful beautiful house. They have adjusted the shape of the architecture to the shape of the site. Playhouses by Smart Playhouses Inspired by Danish Design
Children are great fantasists who have their peculiar and unique inner world. Today children are very different from us when we were in our childhood years. They need an opportunity to have a private space, just as adults have, where they organize their living space in their own way. So let the child develop harmoniously without disturbing his worldview. Playhouses by Smart Playhouses will help your child to feel himself the rightful owner of his small Kingdom. These miniature homes were inspired by Danish design, which is modest, functional and simple. They look just as the summer homes which many Scandinavians have. And only a greater range of colors and a little bit playful design shows their natural purpose.

The best decision for a big family by h20 Architectes: ‘furniture-wall’
Once upon a time residents of one small apartment located in the building complex in Menuires (France) have decided to renovate their living space. The designers’ task was almost impossible: they had to maximize the space without modifying the supporting framework of the structure, to make two bathrooms instead of existing one and to place eight beds within the apartments 55m2 giving opportunity of separate access for each. It was a corner apartment with views in three cardinal directions therefore another task was to retain the possibility to enjoy the panoramas. The architects (h20 Architectes) have made the best decision: to make the wooden ‘furniture-wall’ inside the apartment. It solves the main problem – a lack of space, and serves an additional function of opening up the panoramic views in all directions. This furniture-wall provides access to all items of the construction. There are beds, storage, reading corner attached to a window, kitchen and bathroom. Sleeping nooks are divided with curtains and supplied with reading lamps. The whole furniture-wall is made of different types of high quality woods.
