The Rattan AURA Lamp by French Designers

Rattan furniture and accessories are well known for their ability to make a home warmer and more welcoming by bringing in some details and natural elements. More over, the most of such things are hand made. Océane Delain and Béatrice Durandard presented this excellent AURA lamp on the European ADREAM contest and took the first prize. They used solely eco friendly, natural materials and leds, making this lamp very energy efficient too. We especially loved the way the AURA looks when mounted to the wall – this way it’s obvious where the name comes from. It’s currently being produced in the limited series and sold at a fair price. The creators want to save exclusivity of their product by not turning it into the cheap mass production item.

The dream of each person is his own cozy and warm house filled with love, tenderness and light. And each of us considers under the light different things: for someone light is the happiness that shines in the eyes of his nearest and dearest, and others understand light word by word, filling his dwelling with different lamps, installing lightings and buying night-lamps… may be House lights by Kristian Aus will also appear in someone’s collection.

Cool Fresh Looking Classic Table Task Lamp by Vialight
The Batucada table task lamp by Vialight is designed Brazilian Jahara Studio as part of the corresponding collection, all items of which are made by smashing regular metal things by hammer. It resembles the classic metal industrial lamp except that all of those lamps are unique and just like the rest of collection have very bright and lovely colors. This is a LED lamp, so it doesn’t warms up, doesn’t consumes too much energy, and gives a nice white light; plus it’s fully recyclable. These lamps are being displayed on the Miami Design Week, but if you’ll miss that you can try to make one of those lamps yourself, except that… I wonder how many lamps did Brunno Jahara throw away before he’s got the displayed samples?
