Futuristic Lift house by Apollo Architects and Associates

The Japanese architecture firm Apollo Architects has recently presented its new unusual Lift house in the residential district of downtown Sendai, Japan. This futuristic three-storeyed house is characterized by seamless geometric volumes and an impenetrable façade. It stands out among the crowd of the quiet houses in the neighborhood. The main outstanding feature is the protruding upper floor which offers some shade and protection to the cars parked below it. This space is available for the parking zone for two cars. The most of the light comes from the unusual façade but also through the inner private terrace, found inside the house. The interior is characterized by large open spaces arranged around a central courtyard. Dark louvers on the slanted facade act as a shield to the residence, providing views outwards but not in.

The Red Lounge designed by Sanjay Puri Architects in India

This beautiful lounge is located in Mumbai, India. Designed by Sanjay Puri Architects in the largest Cineplex (six screens) of the city it got its name – the Red Lounge – after the shiny red floor. One more peculiar is a wavy curvilinear ceiling designed in such a way for linking the different heights, and it also gives the impression that the space is larger. But the ceiling is not the last surprise of this Red Lounge. Large screens different in their height and transforming into varying hues of blues and reds are located alongside the windows to the lobby. Plastic pipe sections were sandwiching within sheets of glass to screening off the outside view of adjacent buildings. They create different moods from joyful to romantic.

Contemporary Modular Black and White Houses by A-Cero

These great houses were presented by A-Cero Modular quite a while ago, in 2010, but we simply couldn’t leave them unviewed. A-Cero is a world-wide famous Spanish design studio, specializing in urban architecture and design. Unlike the huge luxury houses they built for the La-Finca residential area, modular department’s houses are much smaller and easier to construct. Just like any other modular homes they are built of prefabricated blocks. There are multiple configurations, from the cheapest two room and one storey version at 84,000 euros, to the most expensive Cubic that has two storey and reminds of the luxury Spanish villas the most and comes at 252,000 euros. The earlier presented version is called the black house and has black glossy facade thanks to the black windows glass and aluminum panels. It looks extremely cool, but newer white house is more welcoming and extraordinary with its black and white contrastive exterior. For more information visit this website.

Modern Villa Eindhoven by De Bever Architecten

The Modern Villa Eindhoven is situated in the Netherlands between the neighboring backyards and a public parking lot. Interesting fact, that it’s practically invisible from noisy street. The exterior of two-storied house is clad in white plaster. Lots of panoramic windows create a contemporary look and let us see children playing. It was used a lot of luxurious materials in interior, such as black ebony wood , huge aluminum frames. On the ground floor there is a living room, a kitchen and an office chamber. Unusual partition between the private sleeping rooms and the living rooms is designed as a long black cabinet wall, running through the whole house. Bedrooms, laundry room and playrooms are situated on the higher level.
