Oceanfront YN-13 House on Shelter Island in New York state

The designers’ company Morris Sato Studio has completed YN-13 House. Located in Shelter Island, New York, the mansion occupies an area of ??6000 sq. and consists of three separate buildings: a residential unit, guest house and garage. The exterior was inspired by Japanese style, the bleached vertical battens and cedar siding of the main and ancillary volumes’ of the guesthouse and garage merge with the terne-coated stainless steel roofing to form a unified textured appearance between the walls and the roof. The interiors are very light, modern and quit minimalistic. The residence is also characterized by open floor plans. Terraces and balconies are equipped for the rest, and even from the second floor you can enjoy the ocean view.

You can see on photos all of exterior is glassed, that creates a feeling of lightness and provides magnificent views everywhere. The interior is designed in modern style, bright colors are dominated there, but dark accents like columns, fireplaces or textiles add some originality. I especially liked the bedroom with king-sized bed, coated with weightless fabric and  located outdoor endless pool. Visit the Wessels Joyce Associates website ? here.

Creative Apartment Design by EXE STUDIO

Architects and designers from EXE STUDIO have completed the apartment design for a young business school student in Belgrade, Serbia. The total area of the flat is 69 square meters. All surfaces are painted in white with bright accents of black and green elements. Centerpiece of the design is a big black block placed between the living room and kitchen, that separated two zones. This item is a godsend in terms of functional - on the one hand, it is used as a stand for the TV, and on the other - it hides kitchen furniture. There are lots of hexagons in the interior; these designed elements are placed on the wall, at ceiling and at the box. They have three functions: shelves, lighting elements and masks. In general, the design is very creative and I think the young lady will feel herself comfortable there.

Contemporary Lake House by David Guerra

This beautiful modern Lake House, located in Brazil, was built on a sloping site with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. The authors of the project were specialists from David Guerra Architecture. The architects were eager to involve the surrounding landscape and make it an integral part of house, so the residence was equipped with large windows, a spacious outdoor terrace, which offers an amazing overview. Description from David Guerra: '?The 340 square meters residence was projected to a business woman with an adult son and, in the first floor, you can found the garage, hall, laundry room, living room, dining room, balcony, guest bedroom and master bedroom. In the lower floor there are the games room, the gourmet kitchen, bedroom, service area, service bedroom and bathroom, son?s bedroom (with an independent entry), balcony and a deck?.' The owners like to receive guests, so the Lake House combines mix of styles and partly open-plan.

Villa G by Saunders Architecture

Villa G is an interesting house with a white facade, which was designed by Saunders Architecture company in Norway. It seems the house consists of multiple volumes interconnected randomly and looks futuristic. In the interior decoration advantage has been also given to the white color, which is well-complemented by individual accents of brighter colors. So the interior of the house is quite contrasting and modern. Description from architects: ?The house is large yet not dominating, modern but not pretentious. The house has a futuristic form but is built with traditional Nordic materials and architectural elements with a good basis in Norwegian building methods?.
