Aluminium facade

VDVT House by Boetzkes | Helder
We have already reviewed a lot of projects of white house design, that always look fantastic and modern. This time we are going to describe an unusual house with original black exterior. Architects from Boetzkes | Helder  presented a draft of VDVT House, modern home in the Netherlands. This residence is a prime example of that departure from accepted standards in architecture is not only possible but necessary. The shape of the house resembles a box with specially coated black aluminum facade that reflects sunlight and changes color. The inner design of the mansion is decorated in minimalist style with use of contrasting light colors. Photography by Merel van Beukering.

Lighthouse by BYTR Architects
BYTR Architects have renovated  house in Utrecht, The Netherlands by adding an extra floor. The exterior of the new floor is clad in perforated aluminum panels that protect the building from prying eyes and provide privacy. An one more interesting feature of facade design is magic play of light: at night, the metal is lit from the back, while in the day, the perforations provide diffuse daylight into the interior. And could you imagine a modern house without outdoor place for rest? The designers have organized a cozy rooftop terrace where the owner plants herbs garden and enjoy the view of the canal.

Have a look at the luxury design of Hurtado residence designed by the American architect Mark Tracy of Chemical Spaces. The residence, located in the Ridges, an upscale custom home community to the west of Las Vegas nearing Red Rock Canyon, occupies the territory of about 10,000 sq ft. The architect's concept was to create such modern space which will admire young people by its atmosphere resembling a nightclub. This house consisting of three levels uses spectacular lighting both for its interior and exterior. Maybe it is inspired by Las Vegas city that is glowing every day. The architects used all high quality and stylish materials such as the aluminum front door, Italian floor tiles, stainless steel floating staircase, three story elevator tower, LED lighting and so on. The atmosphere inside is really cool with wonderful lighting and wide fireplace.

Cool House 77 with Aluminium Shutters by dIONISO LAB

Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal is proud of the House 77 by Portuguese studio dIONISO LAB. This house has aluminium shatters as the part of its façade which is very important for this town traditionally been the fishing one. Such system of symbols was used here long ago for communication and signing the private and fishing belonging. So this dwelling is very valuable from the historic point of view. It brings the memory and also makes the street scene more colourful. The design of the house is very simple, even minimalist. House 77 is organized in the vertical way, so the public space is on the lower floors, while the private one is on the higher. Interesting shutters provides necessary privacy. The house is opened to a small garden at the west side. So it can be said that house 77 became a centre of “Bairro Norte” being culturally and historically rich.
