If you’ve never seen the flying saucers– it’s not a tragedy, we want to offer you to see another extraordinary object – not flying but quietly lying on the ground huge egg! This construction, originally called “BLOB VB3?, was designed by Belgian architectural firm dmvA. This egg is located at the Verbeke Art Foundation. It is very comfortable to live in because of its mobility: it is easily transportable and can be moved to any picturesque place. Inside of this construction there is everything that can be necessary for living: lighting, bed, bathroom and kitchen. It has two “doors”: one exit with a porch from the side and another - automatically opening nose. This house can be used as a garden house or a mobile office. Twodesigners (Jonathan Honvoh & Rodrigue Strouwen) have invented three essential and very useful work centers. They are:  an adaptation of the house (for the meetings and sharing), telephone and computer booth (for intimate communication) and the carton (item at school used to separate the benches when it’s requires). All of these work centers are connected by the philosophy of SMARTWork  “green” center, namely: each item is made of durable materials like wood, which gives a warm natural character but doesn’t change “the technological spirit” of the centers. Twodesigners offer not fixed and rigid solutions but rather series of free items, each of them can be presented as separate item or be coupled to another to form a new set.

This beautiful lounge is located in Mumbai, India. Designed by Sanjay Puri Architects in the largest Cineplex (six screens) of the city it got its name – the Red Lounge – after the shiny red floor. One more peculiar is a wavy curvilinear ceiling designed in such a way for linking the different heights, and it also gives the impression that the space is larger. But the ceiling is not the last surprise of this Red Lounge. Large screens different in their height and transforming into varying hues of blues and reds are located alongside the windows to the lobby. Plastic pipe sections were sandwiching within sheets of glass to screening off the outside view of adjacent buildings. They create different moods from joyful to romantic.

The “Purposefulness of Shadow” Chair was designed by ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, Melbourne, Australia. It may be one of the most deceptive pieces of furniture ever designed. When you see this chair you may think it has 3D shadow. The designer’s message was to create the chair that would give the appearance of shadow when in reality it is actually two chairs in one. A second seat is placed under the first and gives the illusion of shadow, this seat let anyone place their coats and bags comfortably on it. As the architects say “Shadow is purposeful. Not only does this two dimensional adumbration create graphical cues, the shaded space between the shadow and the object also has numerous purposes.” This stunning chair will boggle the mind of anyone sitting on it.

Office design is an important decision for each company. This is a place where employees work, so it should be functional first of all. But a company receives its clients here, so the hospitality and comfort are also important. Therefore, office interior design is an integral part of corporate style. Present you the Asure office of the company in Ukraine, which produces design accessories. The designers Sergey Makhno and Vasiliy Butenko divided the space into zones: meeting and presentation area, terrace, restrooms and storage. The walls decoration combine wood and Corian. There are lots of geometric shapes and lines in the design of walls and furniture. I especially love combination of blue tints. To my mind, this office is convenient for work and communication with customers.

We do not pay attention to door handles, except when we want to open the door. I also have never thought about it before. Door handles are always dirty, especially in public places. That's why we need the door handles which sterilize themselves. Bomi Choi solved the problem and won the award Red Dot Design Concept. It's pretty simple and straightforward idea. The design uses ultra violet light. When the door knob untouched, the UV lamp will light up and begin the processes of sterilization. As soon as you try to take it, UV lamp will switch off. UV Ray is a very good and effective means to kill bacteria and germs.
