This is a truly magnificent villa, called Casaprima, located in on the hillside of Corossol, St. Barts. It is rented and designed for luxurious, exotic rest. For the guests proposed the main building with two bedrooms, cozy and bright living room and a bungalow with its own bedroom, kitchen and bar. But you would be the most impressed by an astounding terrace and dazzling pool with great views of the bay. Other features of the villa include panoramic windows and sliding doors allow to enjoy the landscape and fresh air from any angle of the house. Contemporary Summer House Vestfold 2 in Norway

This unique house is located on the coast of Vestfold in the southern part of Norway. It was built as a summer residence and blends with the landscape greatly. Truth to say, it’s difficult to imagine that modern comfortable house could be situated on a terrain surrounded by rocks, but the designers from Jarmund / Vigsnæs AS Architects MNAL have implemented this idea. The house and terrace are partly built upon existing stone walls, other parts of the walls are made of stones from the blasting on the ground. The exterior is clad in wood and stone. As a whole, the house impressed us by its contemporary look, stylish pool and terrace which offer fascinating views of the water and rocks.

Rivermouth Landscape in Carmel, California by Bernard Trainer

The first thought you may have when seeing this pictures is how well this house’s design integrates into the surrounding coastal foredunes. But this is rather an excellent example of landscape design, where the surrounding atmosphere of wild coast was created after the house was built. This isn’t one of the common cases of contemporary landscape design when short-cut grass on the neat hills struggle to create geometric perfection. All the plantings were carefully selected to emphasize the Californian oceanic view toward Point Lobos and yet brighten it up. The result is beautiful on the verge of reality – unusual flora lit by the sunset light sometimes makes you feel like you are dreaming.
