Flowers in the Sand by Yukihiro Kaneuchi
Bou-Taoshi is a Japanese game that is used as the basis of the design of the series of vases "Sand". Yukihiro Kaneuchi has designed these vases as a reflection of this game. The rules of the game are simple. The first player makes a heap of sand and places a branch of flower on the top. Then the players by turn begin to remove sand; the one who causes the flower to fall is a loser. Not only children who are interested in the sandy entertainment, but also adults. In several Japanese temples the conic shape represents where God first came in the mythological age.

Floating Bridge by Olivier Grossetête
'Pont de Singe' bridge by Olivier Grossetête hovers over the lake in Tatton's Japanese Garden, a historic estate in north-west England, just like a floating gateway, leading into the unknown fairy tale. French artist experiments in the field of design and engineering. The construction consists of three large helium-filled balloons which support the bridge made of cedar wood in the air. Only the ends of the bridge are left to sail on the water. From the words of the artist, his surrealistic creation is designed for contemplation rather than function, though it is strong enough to hold the weight of a person.

'Fabbrica del vapore' Vases in Mouth Blown Glass Created by Ionna Vautrin and Guillaume Delvign
Cooperation of artists and designers always gives excellent results. This is about a series of vases 'Fabbrica del vapore' created by French designers Ionna Vautrin and Guillaume Delvigne in 2008. The vase consists of two parts - of the vase itself in mouth blown glass and of ceramic base. There is a choice of different unusual asymmetrical shapes, sizes and colors. In our opinion, a better result can be achieved by using a combination of several vases, located in the same room. The series was presented during the Milan Furniture Fair 2008 inside the exhibition “Industreal Overture”; the Wallpaper Award 2009 of the best vase was received for this work.

"Farming-Net Collection" of Lamps, Vases and Tables by Nendo
Collection of ethereal lamps, created by designers from Nendo (Japan), is traditional and topical at the same time. Traditional Japanese lanterns look absolutely in a different way in the implementation of these designers. A common barnyard material became new structural and design material to create "Farming-Net Collection". Barnyard net, which is usually used to protect fruits and vegetables from the wind or animals, is stronger and more flexible than wire frame. Lamps spread a soft light in the style of traditional Japanese paper lanterns and sway under a light breeze. The Farming-Net collection also includes vases and tables. The entire line was presented at the Maison & Objet.

The Candy Room Painted by Red Design Group
This is a magic candy store located in Melbourne. According to the designers – Red Design Group (Australia) – there was an idea to create a one-of-a-kind design with playful, simple and somewhat illusional space for the Candy Room. As a result we see a masterpiece of design! Every detail here is fit a single design. Elements of a room are drawn on white space using a black lines. A kitchen splashback is drawn complete with a boiling pot on the stove or a framed portrait of one of the kids. At the same time real items perfectly coexist with drawing, merging with each other. Lampshade made of thin wire, simulates lines drawn in pencil. Candy Room resembles a coloring book.
