Lee Jae-Hyo's Chairs and Armchairs Made of Wood Logs
Korean designer Jae Hyo Lee has found his own way in design, he creates furniture and elements of decor of assembled and sculpted wood logs. At first the logs are attached to the metal frame at different angles, and then all unnecessary parts are sawed off. The technique is not new, but the scale and form of his projects are very unusual. His works, which combine the craftsmanship and love for nature, adorn the exhibition halls, hotels and parks in America, Europe and Southeast Asia. Today we want to demonstrate his beautiful chairs and armchairs made of immaculately assembled wood logs. Enjoy!

Cozy Pocket Chair by DING3000
Designers from German studio DING3000 have created a simple, but at the same time elegant Pocket Chair. This piece of furniture is made of natural soft-touch cuoietto leather. Washable and resistant main part of it is easily put on the wooden (oak) structure, just "like a glove". Cozy shape of the main body, the perfect joints of wooden parts and wonderful leather pockets make the Pocket Chair unique among the whole regiment of ideal chairs. The color of the main body is very similar to the woodmen construction making the Pocket Chair a single assembly. It is suitable for an apartment as well as for office, cafes, bars, shops and restaurants.

"Farming-Net Collection" of Lamps, Vases and Tables by Nendo
Collection of ethereal lamps, created by designers from Nendo (Japan), is traditional and topical at the same time. Traditional Japanese lanterns look absolutely in a different way in the implementation of these designers. A common barnyard material became new structural and design material to create "Farming-Net Collection". Barnyard net, which is usually used to protect fruits and vegetables from the wind or animals, is stronger and more flexible than wire frame. Lamps spread a soft light in the style of traditional Japanese paper lanterns and sway under a light breeze. The Farming-Net collection also includes vases and tables. The entire line was presented at the Maison & Objet.

Multifunctional Furniture Badac by Sang A Choi
It is very profitable to have multifunctional furniture in view of economy of space and comfort. But what we knew about such furniture earlier has nothing in common with what Sang A Choi has invented. Korean designer has managed one piece of furniture - Badac - to combine with functions of four different furniture items that are crafted into eight pieces. Each piece can be detached from the general construction, when necessary, and can be used independently. So the Badac is the perfect solution to someone who lives alone or in a small area room. Like a transformer, it can be turned upside down, allowing you to use it as a shelf, a lamp, a coffee table and two seats. Turning several parts or excluding some of them from the general construction, Badac can be transformed into a single bed or a large seat. On top of that it is a perfect piece of furniture for your fantasy, which will certainly allow you to come up with even newer purposes for it.

Effective Low Energy House of Ecological Bamboo Sticks
The main and almost the only building material for this house in Rotselaar (Belgium) was bamboo. Architects say that in terms of the ratio of quality and ease of gaining, it cannot be compared with any other material. A thick twig can shoot up in only three years. AST 77 Architecten have built this long and narrow home replacing the old buildings and running construction along an existing old retaining wall. The dwelling of the house is 26.3 m long and only 4.5 m wide. In the past there was a residential recreation zone, where people used to build their summer houses. Trees surrounding the house provide shade in summer and sun rays of daylight in winter. The house can be called an effective low energy house due to the heat pump, floor heating, extensive insulation, and a ventilation system.
